Closed public holidays. We take our last walk-ins around 30 minutes before close — sometimes earlier if we've hit capacity for the day.
02 How it works
Walk in.
Check in.
Check in at front of house.
Front of house puts your name down for the services you're after and notes your preferred barber, if you have one. They'll tell you how long the wait is — if there's any wait at all.
We run the queue.
Settle in with a coffee — we'll call you when it's your turn.
Busy day? Come back closer to your turn.
Put your name down, head off, and come back when you're closer to the front.
Peak times tend to be first thing in the morning, lunchtime and near the end of the day. Call (03) 9707 2215 to see how busy it is — names can't be put down over the phone.
03 The shop
Where it
started.
New York Barbers opened in Berwick in 2014 as a five-chair shop on Kempson Walk. It quickly outgrew the space and moved down the street to Adams Lane — a ten-chair barbershop with its own coffee shop.
Inspired by the old-school barbershops of New York City. We also stock the hair, beard and shaving products our barbers use.
